In connection with changes in the field of privacy protection, we would like to remind you of the purposes and principles on which we process your personal data. If you only use our newsletter (you receive information from us about sailing curiosities, new offers), the information regarding your account on our website (hereinafter: "Account") does not apply to you. If you only use the Account, the information regarding the newsletter does not apply to you. In the text below, we indicate fragments that apply only to the newsletter or only to the Account.

Who processes your data?

The administrator of your personal data is Charter Navigator sp. z o. o. (hereinafter: "Charter Navigator") with its registered office in Krakow.

Why do we process your data?

The processing of your data allows us to provide services, including maintaining the Account, processing your orders, contact related to the performance of the contract, as well as sending marketing information (including the newsletter). In particular, we process your personal data:

a) in order to perform the contract for the provision of services (including, among others, order fulfillment, settlements, communication related to the provision of services, communication via the contact form). The basis for processing is the necessity to perform the contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). If during registration or while using the Account you provided us with any data that was optional (e.g. by filling in an optional field in the form), then the basis for their processing by us is consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR); Your data is processed for this purpose only if you have an Account;

b) in order to handle complaints and any other claims. The basis for processing is the legitimate interest of Charter Navigator (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), consisting in securing information about cooperation (including, among others, about the history of your orders, communication with us and payments) in order to handle any claims ;

c) for analytical or statistical purposes. The legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest of Charter Navigator (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), consisting in the use of financial and sales analyzes for internal reporting and determining the optimal directions of our development;

d) in order to direct marketing content to you via Charter Navigator. The legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest of Charter Navigator (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), consisting in the delivery of ordered marketing communications, including in the form of newsletters, i.e. e-mails and via SMS/MMS, containing information about current news, offers, promotions or contests. The processing of your data for this purpose takes place only if you have agreed to receive marketing information (newsletter) by e-mail. Your personal data will be processed in the IT environment, which means that they may also be temporarily stored and processed to ensure the security and proper functioning of IT systems, e.g. in connection with making backup copies, testing changes in IT systems, detecting irregularities or protecting against abuses and attacks.

We try to constantly improve our services so that they are as useful as possible for you. For this purpose, we collect your data via cookies and other similar technologies so that the content presented on our websites is tailored to your preferences - based, for example, on your previous activity on the website, including purchase history or search phrases. We also use third-party software, such as Google LCC and Facebook.

How long do we store your data?

Your personal data will be stored for the duration of the contract. In addition, after termination of the contract, your data will be stored due to the obligations arising from accounting and tax regulations, for their duration, and for legal security reasons, until any claims expire. To the extent that the basis for the processing of your data is consent, your data will be processed until it is withdrawn. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before its withdrawal. Who do we share your data with?

In connection with the services that external entities provide to Charter Navigator, these entities may gain access to your personal data to the extent necessary for the performance of these services. These entities are providers of IT services and systems, postal operators and couriers, payment operators, providers of accounting, consulting, legal or auditing services, and other external subcontractors.

What rights do you have?

In connection with the processing of your data by Charter Navigator, you have a number of rights:

• you can obtain information on how and to what extent we process your data and additionally a copy of your personal data. In the event that your request includes copies of the data, you will help us by indicating a copy of what data you would like to receive;

• you can request rectification of your data (if they have been entered incorrectly or if they have changed), their removal (if there are no grounds for Charter Navigator to process them) or restriction of processing (if you want Charter Navigator to process your data only to a limited extent, until your objection or request for rectification of data is considered, and if you want the data to be stored in connection with your claims);

• you can request the transfer of your data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

• if the processing of your data by Charter Navigator is based on a legitimate interest, you can object to such processing (information on the basis of processing can be found above in the "Why do we process your data?" section); If you believe that our processing of your data violates your rights, please contact us at the address provided below in the "How can you contact us?" section. We try to respond to the comments and suggestions of our Users. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory body [in Poland - the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection (until May 25, 2018 called the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection)].

Purchases from third party partners within the Charter Navigator platform

Within our services, we offer you the opportunity to purchase products and services sold both by Charter Navigator and by our partners or other users. If you buy a product from our partner, please note that Charter Navigator is only a provider of a platform that allows the presentation of third party offers. However, the administrator of personal data in this case is the party that processes your data in order to handle the order placed (performance of the contract). Therefore, if you would like to learn more about the processing of your personal data by these entities, you should contact them directly.
